Welsh National Assembly changes Health Building Note 35

Following these amendments many facilities in Wales have been seeking solutions to help them in achieving their goal of providing safe and ligature free environments.

The Glangwili General Hospital in Carmarthen is one such facility, who are now working with Kingsway Group to provide a solution for the en-suite doorsets.

Together with Edmunds Webster Contractors, over 70 en-suites will receive a new, revolutionary SHOWER Doorset that has been designed and manufactured by Kingsway to offer an anti-ligature solution to the problems the Hywel Dda Health Board are facing.  These will provide a hygienic and durable 180 degree swing, double action doorset. These feature a cut down top rubber leading edge fin, to ensure ligaments or objects cannot get trapped when operating the door.
